SESSION 14: Processing and Properties of Silicate Ceramics (PPSC)
Today, clays and many mineral materials are used in many high-quality ceramics that are indispensable in building materials and various products for every day uses. The discipline of clay ceramics engineering has made significant progress in colloid science, powder processing and thermal and structural transformations during the sintering of a large variety of materials. The availability of clay and mineral materials to meet increased requirements for better thermal, mechanical and chemical properties is the key to emerging technologies. Recent developments in processing, properties and applications will be discussed in this symposium.
